Nintendo 64 Game Console

The best and most dependable nintendo 64 game console available at a great bargain price for kids and adults of all ages.

Remember when Mario was nothing more than a 2D image chasing a princess and avoiding barrels being thrown by a giant gorilla with a name referencing a donkey and king Kong? Now Mario and sonic the hedgehog are throwing punches and ice skating together in various games, but think back, not all the way back to that original Mario but just a few years back.

The big change has come from the evolution of many of the game systems that continue to become better thanks to technology. Some of the classic systems were the n64 classic video game system. This was the evolution of the classic nintendo video game old school system.

When you think back the nintendo nes was the originator of the whole game frenzy. Then came the super nintendo and of course the famous mario was in this system as well. Then arose the n64 with it's amazing 3D graphics at the time. I will get more into it later and you will see the continous trend of mario games.

Remember when Mario made his first appearance in a 3D video game and had to go through various paintings into other worlds so he could save the princess? I'm sure you're remembering that now, the console that Mario made his 3D appearance on was the Nintendo 64, however Mario isn't the only one who made his big 3D debut on the Nintendo 64 video game console.

There was DOOM, Turock the dinosaur hunter, and everybody's favorite alien shooting anthromorphic fox, Starfox. Many of these games could be enhanced by using the n64 virtual expansion pack to give you unlimited cheats.

These classic beloved games may seem blocky compared to the highly stylized sleek game designs we have now, but these debut games were the precursor to an entire new generation of gaming that took characters off of the 2D flat screen and put them smack dab in a 3D world where you didn't just have to move from left to right, but could move any which way you pleased.

The Nintendo 64 game console boasted the highest rated graphics card of it's time, which was simply installed into the console itself which worked with cartridges just like it's predecessors the regular Nintendo and the super Nintendo. It wasn't until Sony's Playstation created the concept of disk gaming that the cartridge was out of date.

For years the cartridge was considered the only way to go when it came to console gaming and Playstation was already on the cutting edge by using disks instead of cartridges, however people quickly took to the idea and disk gaming became the most popular way to go when it came to gaming on a console.

The Nintendo 64 gaming console however was the first to introduce the concept of immersing a 3D character in a 3D world and allowing them the ability to cross all 3 dimensions. This revolutionary concept allowed gamers to get far more into the characters they were playing as than previous side scrolling platforms had in the past.

It created the illusion of an actual world that the character could move around and interact in. On top of this the other characters that were interacted with throughout the game also were immersed in these 3D worlds, which allowed the player the illusion of a real world just beyond the screen.

Nintendo did this with Super Mario 64 and it wasn't until Playstation created Crash Bandicoot that this concept was elaborated on or duplicated. When it comes to 3D console gaming the Nintendo 64 was the original pioneer in the field, and due to this when it comes to that 3D console gaming the Nintendo 64 will always hold a special place in the hearts and memories of gamers everywhere.

After the playstation revolutionized gaming for a new generation of kids here came the microsoft xbox to take over with improved graphics. Along with the playstation and xbox came the nintendo cube system known as the gamecube.

Now you have the nintendo ds and even the amazing nintendo wii that has captivated audiences everywhere. Even though many new systems have come out the classic games of the old school systems never get old.

Many people still play these games in the form of emulator games on their computer. You can download these games free and play as much as you want, how cool is that? But of course many people like to buy these games and have them in their hands.

If that applies to you then you can go to gamestop and look for sales like the buy one get one half off. Most of the games are cheap some times but if you want to pay pennies then is best to go online and look in craigs list. Many people go on craigs list and sell their used video games for many of these old consoles.
